About THIS PROJECT
Batyr came to us to make a campaign about mental health for young people in Northern NSW, built with them rather than about them. The whole thing was co-designed with a group of local young people, so our job was to give their ideas a form that felt true to how they actually talk. We shot it studio-style, interview and couch setting, professional cameras, and let real conversation do the work: young people talking honestly about mental health, stigma, and asking for help, without it being dressed up or talked down. From the day we built a longer piece for YouTube and a run of short cutdowns for social, all pitched to land in the feeds where this audience already lives. The brief was to make these conversations feel normal, and that meant keeping the edit warm and unforced, letting people be plain about hard things. It's work we were genuinely glad to make, the kind where the outcome matters well beyond the view count.
